The Center for Girls was founded on April 15, 1998, on the initiative of two volunteers of SOS Helpline for Women and Children Victims of Violence. The aim of its foundation was to improve the social position of young women through their education and emancipation.
THE MISSION of the Center for Girls is to empower children, girls and women through support, education, activism and creativity.
This blog is a product of work of the participants in NEW MEDIA IN ACTION workshop, held by Leila Šeper, within the first ArtFemine Festival. This year's theme, women and media, drew numerous inspiring persons from the region, who live feminism.
In the last week of May, for the second time in a row, the activists of the Center for Girls organized the Women's Health Week, which was, along with the performance of The Waiting Room, dedicated to Violeta St. Zinovijev, our old friend and long-time activist.
To mark May 28, the International Day of Action for Women's Health and Reproductive Rights, WOMEN'S HEALTH WEEK was organized to remind us to take more care about ourselves. From May 25 to May 31, six workshops were held in the premises of the Center for Girls.
